Lighting Smart Buildings Community

Philips has published a new in-depth report on offices and smart buildings to coincide with World Green Building Week 2016.

The report - Illuminated, integrated and intelligent: Reinventing the workplace - explores how trends in the Internet of Things, connectivity, materials and social sciences are driving new developments in smart building design, workplace flexibility, and connected facility management.

To mark the launch of the week, Philips is releasing the first in a series of mini-white papers from the report called Living Buildings. The paper examines a number of sustainability trends in buildings, including energy positive workplaces, renovation projects and WorldGBC’s own Advancing Net Zero project. Further white papers in the series will be published throughout the remainder of 2016.

Philips is a member of WorldGBC’s Corporate Advisory Board. Earlier this month, the two organisations held a joint event at Climate Week NYC, in partnership with The Climate Group, where Philips Lighting announced ambitious targets for all new buildings to include energy efficient LED lighting by 2020, and all existing buildings to have LED lighting by 2030.
